Sounds like he has done his preparation well in terms of making the right Tablet PC choice for his needs. I'll be interested in following his thoughts and implementation once he's up and running.
Increment Software has developed a new game for the Tablet PC.
In Slate Labyrinth you draw lines and other shapes to keep water from filling up areas of a maze. With over 50 levels, Increment's PR blurb calls it the biggest Tablet PC game yet.

Want to make mulitiple selections in Explorer (or any app) with a pen? Rob Bushway, intrepid as ever, points to link for a nifty utility on Tablet PC Buzz by user ajshapiro. Right Flick allows easier use of the pen to make mulitple selections a lá shift-click and ctrl-click with the mouse.
Marc Orchant over at The TabletPCWeblogs also has a nifty summary of the features of this handy utility.
The Pittsburgh Business Times is reporting that Hewlett Packard has granted $2.1 million to 25 schools as part of the HP Technology For Teaching Leadership program. One example is Carnege Mellon which will fill a mobile cart with 15 Tablet PCs as part of their grant. This is a great effort on HP's part.
