Quote Note Of The Day: From Those Tablet PC Podcast Guys
Today I headed off to Dulles Airport to pick up Bob Payne, one of the actors arriving for the beginning of rehearsals of God's Man In Texas, our next show at Wayside Theatre. It's about an hour and 20 minute drive so I thought I'd cue up the Tablet PC Show #17 and listen to Those Tablet PC Podcast Guys (James Kendrick and Marc Orchant) while driving in. (By the way, I'm having way too much fun with their new brand, so much so that I've keyed the phrase into Active Words for easy text insertions.)
Anyway, I, like a lot of folks, have been following Robert Scoble's platform war on his blog, as have TTPCPG. In the middle of one of Scoble's defenses of all things Microsoft and the Tablet PC in particular he mentioned Those Tablet PC Podcast Guys (James Kendrick and Marc Orchant) without mentioning their names or ladling out any link love. jk took up the challenge on his blog and now the brand has stuck as you'll hear on their latest podcast.
On to the Quote Note Of The Day. As I was cruising down I-66 in the good company of Those Tablet PC Podcast Guys (James Kendrick and Marc Orchant) I just about lost control of the car when Tablet PC Podcast Guy #2 (that would be jk) tossed out this quote in discussing Scoble's scobleizing, adding a new spin to an old saw.
Politics, Religion and OS Platform Choices are never good for public discussions.
Of course the often hilarious discussion ended as Tablet PC Podcast Guy #1 (That would be Marc) tried to get them back on the topic of Tablet PCs and jk, with a quick and witty back reference to the entire Scoble scat, added:
The platform that everybody in the world should be using.
Lesson learned. Don't drive with Those Tablet PC Podcast Guys (James Kendrick and Marc Orchant) on the radio.
By the way, a big welcome to Bob. Glad to have you aboard.

Always practice safe listening while driving with a Podcast playing. We can't afford to lose a single listener.

Not only that - neither The Podcast Network nor the hosts of the show can or will assume any liability for listeners who choose to operate a mototr vehicle while under the influence of podcasts.
Maybe we need a safety advisory sticker:
Warning - may cause drowsiness, fits of uncontrollable laughter, or cause beverages to come shooting out of your nose.
