Google Thinks About Getting Into The Print Advertising Business
With all the hand-wringing over the drop in newspaper circulation and the decline of the influence of print media comes word that Google is thinking of testing the print advertising waters. I find that a fascinating prospect. While newspapers live and die with ad revenue, I still suggest that they are facing tough times because of a downward spiral in the quality of their content. Google may find a way to pump up the ad revenue, but in the end it is still the content that matters.
I also hear Google is thinking of testing ad modules for those ubiquitous high school football calendars.
