VAR Business: Re-Evaluating the Tablet PC

T.C. Doyle of VAR Business is re-evaluating his long held belief about the Tablet PC that it is "an innovation in search of a purpose."

Based on some recent conversations with Mark Simons, GM of Toshiba America Information Systems and Brian Russell of Central Telecom he sees some different trends emerging. Apparently Russell sees the Tablet PC portion of his system sales jumping from 40% to 70%.

"The tablet trend portends better days ahead for the oft-maligned hardware--the Ethanol gasoline of the PC business." Check out the rest of the article here (inlcuding a familar headline, TDavid.)

Hat tip to Matthew Hollingsworth.
