Windows Wireless Flaw Puts Laptops At Risk

One of the resources I increasingly turn to for news on computer and internet security issues is Brian Krebs and his Security Fix blog/column for the Washington Post. If there is a security issue (when is there not) Brian's blog lays out the issue and the risks.

Today he posts that a "feature" in Windows wireless networking poses a dangerous security risk for most laptops running XP or 2000. The good news? If you're running a firewall you've mitagated the risk. The bad news? If you aren't running a firewall you are at risk if you use a wireless network and it searches for any available network but can't find one.
