Lots of chatter about what apparently is (or was) a chip and price war regarding the new Ultra-Mobile PC. Both GottaBeMobile and UMPCBuzz are linking to an article in DigiTimes that says Microsoft was leaning towards the VIA chip but Samsung pushed for Intel. That's interesting news now that Samsung is looking at a later release of a UMPC with the VIA chip.
It also explains why the first generation UMPCs are coming in with higher price points than was originally thought. More twists and turns than an Origami.
