Some Sunday morning reading, listening, and viewing to share.
Tablet PC MVP and traveller extradorinaire Dr. Neil has released another podcast covering a host of topics including the Origami/UMPC and the recent Sync Center Web Cast. Syncing is going to be a big issue for mobile computing.
Robert X. Cringley (a pseudonym used by Mark Stephens) has written a post that has folks in a twitter. A Whole New Ball Game. He blames Dell (and other OEMs) for Vista’s delay, takes a look at the recent statements that Microsoft has given up on the Malware issue, and blames Microsoft for somehow allowing Apple to steal the show with Boot Camp. Ed Bott thinks he’s full of it, and Scoble and others are poking holes in the arguments. He’s out there on the edge with some of his comments, but I’m not so sure he hasn’t hit a nerve
I find the discovery (or rather the recent news of the discovery) of the long-lost Gospel of Judas to be fascinating. The news is that Judas was in on it all along. Hmm? Wasn’t the whole thing the big guy’s plan? Just asking.
Mel Brooks says we need more political incorrectness as he’s hyping the release of a DVD box set of his films. (I’m standing in line on this one.) I agree we need more political incorrectness. I also think we need a little political correction.
A whistle-blower comes clean on the NSA domestic spying issue and rolls over on AT&T. Anyone, anywhere, actually really believe that there isn’t domestic spying going on?
More news that isn’t news. The Bush Administration is considering military options against Iran. Maybe the only news is Seymour Hersh reporting they are thinking about using tactical nukes. Got to do something to help those sagging poll numbers I guess.
Scientists have discovered that Uranus has a blue ring around it. No Tidy Bowl jokes please.
