Words, Words, Words, Google Does Shakespeare

Gogglebard When I first heard of the Google Books venture awhile back, it didn't take much imagination to think that this would occur. Google has created a landing page aggregating the complete works of William Shakespeare. Now, the Google Books venture has come under a lot of fire from publishers, but this is certainly (of course these works are certainly in the public domain, at least until the misers of media can figure out a way to extend copyrights back to the 1600's) more than a worthwhile use of the technology.

You can search for and browse one of the plays, search within the plays, and of course if you want to make a purchase you'll find links to do so. This will prove more than a hany search tool for many. We're gearing up here at Wayside Theatre for a production of Othello later this season, and Shakespeare is my favorite writer in any medium of all time, so this as you can guess this really is an exciting development for me.
