AT&T Rankles the Internets by Going After Its Customers

I guess AT&T is feeling pretty cocky these days with the release of the iPhone just around the corner. Tough to explain their recent move to become the first Internet provider to work with the RIAA and the MPAA to keep pirated content off the Internet.

Got to love this quote:

"We do recognize that a lot of our future business depends on exciting and interesting content"

I hate to break it to the folks at AT&T if they are counting on the content that comes out of Hollywood that's their first mistake.

Of course the bigger mistake is pissing off their installed customer base. But then, they're about to increase that here shortly now aren't they?
