Universal Says No Long Marriage To iTunes

Negotiating tactic or not, looks like the boom has come down. Universal Music Group decided not to renew its long term contract with Apple and iTunes. Supposedly this lets UMG deal with iTunes sales "at will." We'll see if others jump on this bandwagon, or if Mr. Jobs has something up his sleeve here shortly I would imagine. In either case, this spat is far from over.
