Apple Mania Again, But Could This Be The Real Deal?
Everyone is gaga (or is that Radio Ga Ga?) over what Apple might or might not to tomorrow with their big announcement. Will it be an iPhone without the phone? Will it have radio? Will it be a Fat Nano? Will it be the Beatles? Who knows for sure. But the game changer would be one of the other rumors, and that is that there will be some sort of WiFi magic going on so that users could forget about syncing up to computers. Dave Winer blogs about this and nails it. Some move into that realm would significantly alter the landscape and I hope it happens. Fancy designs come and go, but breaking the syncing paradigm would be the real deal.
Of course, I'm not holding my breath. I don't think Jobs has the guts to start that fight.
