Sunday Morning Reading

Some Sunday morning reading to share.

Google looks set to release Android, its mobile phone platform, and everyone is poised to hear what will be. Should be interesting to follow. The New York Times has a piece on the Google guy behind it all.

Of course Google cornered the news last week as well with its OpenSocial news. Some interesting reading on this to share: Scoble's takeDownload Squad. I think the jury is way, way out on what this will eventually mean beyond ego battles.

Pakistan declares martial law and suspends the constitution. Wary eyes on that investment.

Cringley thinks Google is becoming the next Microsoft.

Om Malik wonders if privacy concerns will kill online advertising. I still wonder who clicks on all these ads.

Frank Garcia's Telegram to UMPC makers.

In Japan, consumers might be forsaking PCs for other mobile gadgets. This makes a lot of sense on so many levels.

A Canadian government study finds that P2P downloaders buy more music than those who don't do file sharing.

Hollywood writers strike is looming. Is anyone really going to care if this happens?
