Sunday Morning Reading

Some Sunday morning reading to share.

What happens to all those cell phones that get tossed? Interesting read in the NY Times.

In a week where the Gawker media folks got slammed for the Gizmodo prank of turning off TVs at CES, the NY Times looks at some of the other fraying edges. Sounds like Nick Denton has a Rupert Murdoch fixation.

My home state of Virginia considers a ban on texting while driving. Do we even need a law that says this? Isn't there already a reckless driving statute?

A sign of things to come? Argentines riot in an airport because of canceled flights.

Cringley speculates on whether or not Apple will buy Adobe.

Dave Winer and the debate about podcasting. Had a great discussion about this with some of family over my trip. More on that later.

California wants to control home thermostats? Why would any politician want to touch that?

Are we so caught up in American Idol the presidential race that it is too convenient to ignore the lending crisis? Something tells me we are all going to regret this before we get to November.
