McCain "Scandal" Has Got To Come From the Hard Right

So, I'm watching Hardball on MSNBC when Keith Olbermann breaks in to report that the NY Times is reporting on a attempts at tamping down a scandal from the last election between McCain and a much younger female lobbyist. If you go to the NY Times report you see that this is really old news, but the fact that news organizations (hungry for some red meat) are running with it leads me to believe that the Republican hard right is playing dirty because they don't want McCain as the nominee. The Democrats may be stupid and knock each other off for no good reason but no one eats their own as viciously as the Republicans.
