Bush Vetoes WaterBoarding Bill. One Business Feels Relieved

President Bush, who never met a language or a dance he couldn't mangle, vetoed a bill today that would have effectively banned waterboarding (you know it's not torture) as an interrogation technique. Being the Tough guy in chief has it's ups and downs, but I guess he's spoiling for a fight that will make him look presidential instead of all that dancing. Actually, it is a fight he'll win and not care about as he goes about his lame-duckness because Congress won't muster a vote to overturn the veto.

Meanwhile, one of my latest blog buddies I'm following, Karoli, points out at least one business that ought to be relieved by Bush's stance. Apparently Prosper, Inc likes to use waterboarding as a teaching tool for sales techniques. Of course someone didn't exactly see eye to eye with the idea and is complaining. And the company is not denying it.

Why does this make me think that companies are using waterboarding to train their customer service personnel in addition to sales folk.
