Is The Spitzer Scandal Tied to Bank Bail Outs?

I don't know if this is true or not. If it is, it is astounding. If it isn't, it is one hell of a tale. Greg Palast connects some dots surrounding this week's bank and financial institution bailouts with the timing of the Eliot Spitzer bust. The dot connection as laid out make sense, but there's still a lot we don't know. At any rate, it is worth a read, if you have a strong stomach.

Meanwhile watching Treasury Secretary Paulson on ABC's This Week certainly doesn't inspire confidence. While not addressing  the issues that Palast raises, his answers and non-verbal clues while he's spouting a lot of words without saying anything, are really telling.
