Obesity Contributes To Global Warming?

Ok, I'm trying not to pull my hair out here. Trying, mind you. According to this article, obesity is now seen by some as a contributing factor to global warming. The reason obese and overweight individuals require more fuel to transport them as well as more food to eat.

Some days, it is hard to imagine what will come next.

I think they're confusing another symptom with the cause. We're consuming our cheap resources too rapidly without thinking of the consequences, rather than investing in greater efficiency and healthier energy sources. Applies to both fossil fuels and fatty foods.
