This battle over the AP’s move to charge bloggers has turned from a dogfight into a real lollapalooza. Michael Arrington first banned quoting the AP from his blogs. Then the AP decided to quote Arrington in a story. Now Arrington is threatening to sue and demand the AP pay him based on its own rate schedule.
While that keeps the fans on the sidelines entertained, if the AP paid up as Arrington demands, doesn’t that then set the precedent that the AP is looking to establish?
Just asking.
