Tonight, or today, or whenever the official math is tallied, will be or is history. The Democratic Party of the United States will nominate Barack Obama, who calls himself “a skinny black guy from Chicago” to run for President of the United States. With all the craziness, side shows, lunacy, and ups and downs during what I have been calling the Presidential Follies still rolling as I write this, none of that matters, or should matter in the historical perspective.
I just hope somewhere in the celebrating, and counting, and speculating, and whatever, that we pause and take note of what has happened. It is historic. Hopefully, we will never be the same again.
