Seatus Interruptus

Talk about cutting it close. Our new theatre seats were scheduled to arrive today. The installers arrived. But no seats. We just got word that there was a mixup with shipping and they will be here first thing in the morning. It won’t throw us off much as far as schedule goes as we have a Plan B for just such a thing, but it sure was a let down when we got the news.

To give you an idea of what we are dealing with, I’m convinced there are some who think we won’t make Saturday’s first performance, and there are some who think we aren’t serious about re-opening until the first show goes up. Some are just as anxious as we are. When I got out of my car this morning the mayor of Middletown was walking down the street and yelled out, “So, today’s the big day!”  Nothing like pressure.

Maybe I should charge admission for those who are coming by to check in and see.

Back to work as the seat installers begin drilling the floor in preparation.
