Coming Apart at the Seams: The Mess in Georgia

Things seem to be getting much worse in the war between Georgia, Russia and South Ossetia. I don’t think anyone can sort out the truth of the matter, but it seems like that is irrelevant at the moment. Our lame duck, George Bush just issued some tough words but I don’t think there is anything other than tough talk that can be done to slow things down until Russia is ready to do so. If it’s 3AM it is 3AM on the long night of Bush’s watch. I hate to say it, but Russia will get its way here without suffering anything but tough words that will roll off the bear’s back.

Here are some links with some good reading on the situation, including one that talks about the tech component with Russian hackers doing to Georgia what they did to Estonia awhile back.
