Why am I not surprised that Sarah Palin is in the top rank of searches for 2008? Actually she was the world’s fastest rising search term. Lipstick and pigs also scored high, as did Joe the Plumber, back before he decided to tell us he didn’t like McCain.
Barack Obama in absolute terms was the most popular search term for the year, but there are some other intriguing terms on the leader board as well.
