We're having a Tweetup at Wayside Theatre for folks in our Northern Shenandoah Valley area on Thursday, June 18. The social part will begin at 7:15 in our concession area, The Curtain Call Cafe, and those who attend can get one free ticket to see our season opening production of Man of La Mancha at 8pm.
For those who don't know, a Tweetup is a meeting of folks who use the social networking tool, Twitter. Usually folks schedule this over Twitter, (which we're doing) but I"m posting this here as well as a place for all the details.
It is pretty easy to participate. All you have to do is send me a direct message (DM) on Twitter @WarnerCrocker. Of course that means you have to follow me and vice versa for that to work.
Refreshments for the meetup are on your own dime, but each person who attends gets a free ticket to see the show. And yes, we hope you're going to say great things about it on Twitter after you see it. We've got WiFi available in the Curtain Call Cafe, and depending on which way the wind blows, we occasionally have 3G coverage available, although mostly it is EDGE.
Oh, and one lucky participant is going to win a free subscription for the rest of our season at Wayside Theatre.
