What an absolute delight listening to Eric open up his new Tablet PC with his family in attendance. Wow. Eric recorded and posted the sequel (actually more than one.) The latest podcast features the out of box experience as he flips the switch and goes through the startup stuff in roughly 15 minutes. Not bad.
It's fun hearing him answer the questions from his wife and daughter. Looks like he's headed for one disappointment in that he's under the mistaken impression that he can train the handwriting recognition. It trains you. And Eric, follow your wife's advice and try cursive. Believe it or not, it works better, at least in my case.
Looks (sounds) like the Tecra's viewing angle is not that great (no surprise there, really) and the screen is using the same thin film protection that the M200 does.
With the exception of a few bumps in the road in the OOBE, Microsoft and Toshbia should consider licensing out this podcast and using it for promotion. It is priceless.
I can't wait to hear more of this adventure. Fascinating.
