James Kendrick points to news that Paint.NET 2.5 RC2 is now available. I agree with JK that this is a great Cool Tool if you are looking for a free alternative to PhotoShop or PaintShop Pro. I've been using Paint.NET since version 1.1 and it has replaced PhotoShop on my Tablet PC. It's that good and this new Release Candidate offers a slew of new features and changes. The final version is due out the end of November and the next version is scheduled for January 15 and will be .NET Framework 2.0 ready.
Highly recommended.
