The family caught a showing of The Chronicles of Narnia yesterday. Fun time, very good, but not great film. An excellent filmic treatment of the C.S. Lewis story and although Lewis's point of view is clearly on the screen I kept thinking that the filmmakers pulled their punches a bit in terms of their own point of view, whatever it was. IMHO it seemed like they were more interested in making a cool movie of this fascinating allegory and were afraid to really go there. Interesting because that seems contradictory with the marketing efforts they chose.
