The head of Sony BMG's Global Digital Business, Thomas Hesse, recently stated that in light of all the negatives that came out of the DRM Rootkit fiasco that Sony is "re-evaluating its methods." He acknowledges, and IMHO everyone accepts, that copyright infringment is a major key issue, but that Sony needed to take a serious look at how they would go forward in light of all the turmoil that erupted over the security problems caused by the XCP and MediaMax schemes and their purported fixes.
Let's hope they look at their crisis and PR methods as well and erase that old first step of denying a problem exists when they know better.
