Last week James Kendrick put out a tease about some changes coming to his exceptional blog, jkOnTheRun. He promised it would be a breath of fresh air and that the change would be announced today. Good as his word, jk announced this morning that Kevin Tofel will be joining him on jkOnTheRun.
But I think there is more to the story.
They both swear they've never met in person, so it would be hard to find some evidence that they've been seen in the same place together at the same time. We know that there are at least two voices (three if you add Dave Ciccone) on the MobileTech Roundup podcast. But, we all know jk is a master of dialects and you can do wonders with audio editing these days. So, I have to ask, doesn't the similarity between Kevin's picture and jk's signature avatar strike you as a bit too similar?
Of course if you follow the two, you are probably saying, no wait, they've both recently produced video reviews of products. You're correct, but Kevin's first (to my knowledge) video review only came out last week, just prior to the big announcement. Curious timing, I'd say.
Maybe there's more here than meets the eye or the ear. Hmmmm?
All kidding and bad photo retouching aside, congratulations to jk and Kevin. I have to admit I'm a huge fan of MobileTech Roundup and the many contributions they have each have made to the community, and I'm guessing this will be a boon to all of us who follow Tablet PCs, UMPCs, and the Mobile Tech world.
Now, Kevin, ask jk for a higher starting salary so you can get a better picture, will ya?
