What a great party, what a great night, what a wonderful time. I'm still recovering a bit this morning, but I have to say it was a magical evening organized by my wonderful wife, Thomasin, with the help of so many.
Too many thanks need to be handed out, so I'll just get started here by saying thank you to Lori Morrison for the great food, Betsy Blauvelt for the cake, Johnny and the Vault Cats for the great music, and everyone who came to the shindig. And of course this was not possible at all without the woman who makes it all possible, Thomasin.
I'll be blogging more on this later, but one of the many highlights of the evening was seeing the wonderful letters from friends and family who couldn't be there and having some of them read by some really wonderful friends who were present. The two by my sisters, Jane and Susan, were especially touching, and a few from folks who've known me quite awhile were not only revealing but touched memories I haven't had in long time.
If you peruse the photo stream on Flickr, you'll see lots of fun, lots of smiles, and lots of craziness. (Yes, that is underwear draped on the band's microphones. Don't ask.) It was a blast.
I'm blessed.
