Some Sunday morning reading to share.
Whether you are an advocate of Intelligent Design or an advocate of more scientific theories, there's a summer camp to send your children to. In the Arab world these are called madrasahs.
Peter Coors gets busted for DUI in his driveway. Got to give the guy credit though. At least he has the guts to admit he made a mistake and was in the wrong.
Do you have too many gadgets in your car too keep up? This guy in The Washington Post bemoans the pace of the race to keep up and keep untangled in his car.
The Stem Cell debate is heating up in the Senate this week and that's too bad. Not too bad that this thorny issue is being debated, too bad that it is being used as a political whipping post to help boost the Republican's election chances, even though they are divided on the issue. There is more middle ground on this issue than anyone is willing to admit but its more productive to play sides and avoid real debate on anything complex. Too bad we've got such gutless wonders as leaders. David Broder has a great piece on this.
The Internet is growing and growing and 340,282,366,920,938,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 new web addresses have been created by internet chiefs. That should last about another year at this pace.
I haven't posted anything yet about the current crisis in the Middle East. I've been avoiding it because it is just too painful and I hate to say it, too stupid. Yes, people are dying, and yes, there is so much at stake, and yes, it is horrible, and potentially disastrous for all of us. I'm both angered and saddened by the situation. There comes a point, and I think we're getting close to it, if we haven't already, where you have to step aside and let two arrogant neighborhood bullies just slug it out. Yeah, they will destory themselves and the neighborhood in the process, but the only real alternative in this ugly, stupid, mindless and destructive pissing match, is for a third party to smack them both down, and we all know that isn't going to happen. A plague on all their houses.
