Excerpts from Bob Woodward's new book State of Denial are being run everywhere. Here's a link to the Newsweek excerpts. The title of the book fascinates me because the State of Denial could apply to the President, everyone in the country, the media that reports the supposed news, and the author.

The Mark Foley scandal proves once again that old axiom, do as I say, not as I do.
The movie, Idiocracy, seems to be generating a lot of Internet buzz in its limited release. I certainly haven't seen it, but from what I've read the premise is fascinating, but it sounds like it gets dumbed down in the name of juvenile humor. (My understanding of the premise is that two folks, not the brightest on the block, get suspended in time and when they reenter the fray 500 years later, they are now smarter than anyone.) What do you expect from the creator of Beavis and Butthead. Irony at its finest.
Given that the bad guys seem to be winning the battles over a Tiered Internet, this article is an interesting read about the freedom of the Internet works in Amsterdam.
