This doesn’t sound good at all. The RIAA must think it is a government the now that they have bought into several. Basically they’ve managed to get the Copyright Protection Board to accept an increase in royalty rates, that make it nearly impossible for small webcasters to pay the freight. A lot of the coverage on this centers on the fact that they RIAA is cutting its own throat by cutting of the promotional benefit derived through webcasters. I think they know exactly what they are doing. Control and greed win the day on this one.
