Antonio Gonzales, you know everyone's favorite Attorney General, is still going after those who "attempt piracy." Apparently in a speech in Seattle he continued to beat that drum. I guess it drowns out the noise from all of the other crap he's stepped in lately.
In any regard, I love this part from a report by CNET.
In addition to the provisions mentioned above, that bill would allow more ready seizure of computers and other assets used to commit copyright crimes, punish certain "intended" copyright crimes, and require Homeland Security to alert the Recording Industry Association of America about attempts at importing "unauthorized fixations of the sounds, or sounds and images, of a live musical performance."
Can anyone out there tell me what an unauthorized fixation is? Maybe it is like chaining your political career to someone who continually screws the pooch? I'm just asking.
