I'm a big believer in choice. But sometimes timing makes choice a PITA. I resisted the stampede to Google Reader as a feed reading application for a long time. And then I finally gave it a real try. I've been using it as my feedreader for a good few months now, and although it has its quirks it does the job.
Prior to using Google Reader I was a Bloglines user, and to be honest, really had a hard time making the shift away from Bloglines. But Google Reader's share and star features are what really one me over. They reminded me somewhat of Onfolio, a product that basically disappeared after being bought up by Microsoft.
Now Bloglines has come up with a new ajaxy beta that looks quite nice. I give it a quick look this morning and at an early glance it looks impressive. It is certainly faster than Google Reader on my machines.
So, will I switch again, or will inertia take hold? Don't know. I'll probably give Bloglines some more love for a bit and see how that turns out. To bad it doesn't have a share feature or the offline capabilities that Google Gears provides.
You can check out the beta here.
