According to this Ars Technica story, a Boston man has filed a class action suit over the outrageous practices that printer companies use to gouge users over the price of ink. Apparently he claims HP paid off Staples to not stock 3rd party ink cartridges. And even more outrageous, according to the article printer ink can be as high as $8,000 per gallon.
I'm not a fan of class action lawsuits because the only ones who ever come out ahead are the lawyers, but I'd like to see this one succeed.
