Somewhere the poet Sappho is rolling over in her grave. Some folks from the Greek Isle of Lesbos have asked a Greek court for relief by suing a gay rights group over the use of the term lesbian. They claim that the use of the word lesbian as a moniker for female homosexuals "insults female residents of the island." Of course residents of the island, both male and female, hetero and otherwise are known as lesbians.
Of course they don't want to stop the large lesbian vacation traffic that comes onto the island because of the connection to Sappho's poetic messages.
