Comcast keeps plugging away on their march to a tiered or capped Internet. Word has come down that after Comcast got smacked by the FCC for throttling back peer-to-peer users, that Comcast is now planning to slow down excessive users by 10 to 20 minutes or so to protect their network. That’s the spin.
Comcast says they can pinpoint offending users in “nearly real time.” Anyone but me find the phrase “nearly real time” and Comcast as oxymoronic? Maybe they’ve gotten too used to Comcast Cares Frank on Twitter responding so fast.
I’m just asking.
