I’m a cynical old fart. I usually see through the crap that politicians throw at us, and at the same time, I love to laugh at the sheer transparency and spectacle of the game.
But I tell you, Michelle Obama got into my heart tonight and ushered much of that cynicism right out of the door. Hope? Yeah, it gives me some of that too. Watching the obviously unscripted moments with her and her kids speaking to their father, it must even fill the heartless with hope.
I’m sure the Republican meat eaters are trying to figure out how to spin this one.
I’d love to call this woman our First Lady.
