Looks like Google has decided to do some sprucing up with Google Reader. Opening it up this evening I was surprised at the new look.
They’ve also arranged a few things differently. Shared Items from your friends now have their own section and you can also turn off unread feed counts if they get on your nerves. Each section now has its own controls and you can collapse or expand things as you need.
