And now in the center ring….
I’ve been way too busy with the theatre biz to pay much attention to the tech world of late, but having a few hours off this morning and catching up I noticed that a full blown circus broke out on the weekend taping of the Gillmor Gang.
Mike Arrington pushed some buttons with Leo LaPorte over whether or not Leo had received a review unit of the Palm Pre and Leo got pissed and shut down the show. All seems to be blowing over as Arrington has apologized and Leo has accepted said apology (see the comments in the link to the TechCrunch post.) But until you read everything, the video that is circulating paints both participants in a bad light, sure to generate some heat that will only bake in a little more luster to both of the Internet superstars in the long run.
Warning language in the video below is quite steamy.
I’m out of the loop on a lot of what Arrington says was his context going into his prodding of Leo, so I can’t offer any real comment there, and from what I’m reading both Leo and Arrington are taking heat on their respective behaviors. Let’s hope that will all blow over and things can get back on track as I always find the show, even when folks are doing the “play-mad” thing, entertaining if not informative.
I’m wondering if the whole thing would have been as entertaining if it had been done with puppets?
