According to a CNN report, the phrase 'Web 2.0' is going to became the one millionth word in the English language today. CNN is following the lead of the Global Language Monitor, a site that monitors how often words are created. The big moment was supposedly 5:22 AM Eastern Time.
Intriguing that it is a phrase. Intriguing that it is Web 2.0, something that many think is old hat already. Apparently the word has to make sense in 60% of the world before it can become official.
'Web 2.0' beat out Jai Ho, Noob, cloud computing, carbon neutral, and slumdog.
Hmmm?
