Went to see the latest Harry Potter flick last night (one word review-disappointing.) But I noticed during the endless trailers that the rating screens for all the trailers had the same language. Basically saying that THE FOLLOWING PREVIEW HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR APPROPRIATE AUDIENCES. (Their caps not and bolding not mine.)
So, I'm not sure when this happened, but I thought previews used to be rated differently depending on the content. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Even so, what is an Appropriate Audience and how does one tell if they fit in or not? And what happens if the trailer starts and you suddenly start feeling all inappropriate and stuff?
Curious minds want to know.
