This story has been bouncing around for a bit and it seems like today it jumped off the deep end of the WTF diving board. BoingBoing picked up the fact that this Ralph Lauren photo shoot featured a model that, well, to put it lightly, looked like nothing on this world. It is pretty obvious that someone needed to clean their glasses or computer screen when they were doing the photoshop routine. Ralph Lauren’s lawyers jumped up and down on BoingBoing threatening copyright infringement. Then they backed off after that backfired. Now Ralph Lauren has fired the model, Flippa Hamilton, saying she was overweight and couldn’t fit into their clothes anymore.
I think this is entering into the “you can’t make this stuff up” category.
