So, Rupert Murdoch is once again squawking about the Internets. This time he says he’ll take his properties off of Google after he sets up all of his pay walls. Or maybe before. In either case please, go ahead. Do this and get it over with, so we can all move on from this. Rupert, you’re beginning to sound like a school girl who can’t decide who to go with to the prom. Either that or Kim Jung Il. We’d love to see you move on. Prove your point, or the point that many think will be the case-that you’ll miss the revenue and realize your mistake. Who knows you may be right. With the Journal you’ve got a property that folks buy and get a tax write off for. They’ll continue to buy that one. You’re a bit different than some of the smaller papers who are trying to figure this out.
As for the rest, well, we can get tabloid crap anywhere. In the end it doesn’t matter, except perhaps to your bottom line. Google says it will help you. In fact it is really simple.
So, Rupert, quit being such a wuss and pull the plug.
